| For 36 years, Willie Rowson has helped build stadiums that encircle the fields on which baseball is played. On Friday night, he made it to center stage, throwing the ceremonial first pitch before the game against the Yankees. Rowson, 62 of Indianapolis, is a concrete supervisor for Huber, Hunt & Nichols, Inc. one of the three general contractors erecting the Detroit Tigers' new Home, Comercia Park. Rowson, also has poured concrete for stadiums in Cincinnati and St. Petersburg Fla., retires next month. -- Brother Rowson has been a faithful member of OPCMIA LOCAL UNION #692 Area 532 of Indianapolis for nearly 40 years. In his retirement he plans to keep throwing strikes and catching big fish. |
